DIY Lavender Oil
Here's my lav (lavender)! Waiting for me to get off my butt and pick them! Okay! Okay! After the soccer game, after the laundry, after the....wait! They can't wait any longer! So I did it..finally and it FELT SO GOOD!
Love my herb garden. Picking the flowers off of the lavender stems was so healing and peaceful.
One by one, I filled the jars to the top with the lavender flowers. And filled a separate section with thyme flowers for another herbal remedy in the making (thyme is great for coughs).
Here are the lavender flower beauties drying! Made me clean off the table. Whatever motivates you, I guess :)
Not the best picture, but it will do. Filled some of my jars with Sunflower oil, some with Oilive Oil and some with a combo of both Oils. Lets see how it goes! Experimenting is so much fun. You can't live or learn if you don't explore. Gives a person purpose. Besides cleaning fairy, laundry goddess, and mom of the year. Yikes!
Now I have to be patient and wait for the oils to pull out the good stuff! I will post more pics as I "brew through" this process. Thanks for reading, guys!
I am so thankful that you are here, at this page! I need my readers to understand that these daily meditations were not written by me. They are passages from a book that saved me. The words were written by Melody Beattie, an author of many books, but especially important to me is that she is the author of a book called "The Language of Letting Go". Her words, this book, the messages ~ helped to heal me, transform my thinking and bring me to a better place, the place I am today.
Daily Meditations are from the book The Language of Letting Go by Melody Beattie
